Housing Conservation District Review Committee
Meeting Agenda
January 8, 2007
10 a.m., Room 7E07 City Hall
RESULTS DEFERRED*
Algiers
1724-26 Nunez St. Owner Keith Victor has applied to demolish this
Arts-and-Crafts style double shotgun to be replaced with a new home of no
specific design (no proposed plan or elevations were included with the
application).
I had never been to this part of Algiers before. The light was perfect, I always feel like I am on an Island in Algiers.

WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO TEAR DOWN THIS PROPERTY?

I cannot belive that someone would tear down a house that is in what appears to be perfect condition. Maybe they should sell it to Habitat and let them give it to a family that wants to return to New Orleans.
Thank you for documenting these homes it may be the only history the city have of them 25 yrs. down the road.
